In honor of National Law Enforcement Week, the Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office are teaming up to host the 2018 Fallen Officer Memorial Candlelight Vigil.
The vigil commemorates Colorado peace officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
This includes Edgar B. Rains Jr., who is the only Northglenn police officer to fall during service. The park was re-named after him following his passing.
Also to be honored is Adams County Deputy Heath Gumm. He was one of three metro area peace officers to be killed in the line of duty around the new year.
Law enforcement from all jurisdictions along with the public are invited to attend.
