Happiness Hour Meditation

Unwind from your week with a mindfulness meditation session in the galleries of the Denver Art Museum, led by our partners from the Kadampa Meditation Center. Whether you are a first-timer to meditation or enjoy a regular practice, all are welcome to join in on this "happiness hour" of relaxation, reflection, and quiet calm. Chairs, yoga mats, and meditation cushions provided. No registration necessary, but space is limited

English Paper Pieced Quilt Exhibit at Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum issued a Call for Entries for quilts using the British Style of English Paper Piecing. Quilts made from this longtime, labor intensive method, are hand pieced, enabling the quilter to accomplish precise and detailed work. Quilts on display range from traditional to modern abstract works of art, and a selection of Museum quilts constructed using the English Paper Pieced method, along with some of Tina Gravatt’s miniature quilts made with English Paper Piecing.

It’s everybody’s favorite Christmas tale with a boozy twist. Join our drunken cast for a beer as we teach Scrooge a lesson about Christmas and all its “spirits” in this shortened version of Charles Dicken’s classic story.

An extravaganza of lights at Hudson Gardens

Walk through a winter wonderland decorated with thousands of outdoor lights. Explore the trails where bursts of light and color wrap around trees, shimmer on bodies of water, illuminate happy faces, and bring a twinkle to your eye. Share your holiday wish list with Santa Claus, watch Christmas trees dance to holiday music, sip a steaming cup of hot chocolate, and stop for photo opportunities along the way.

Holiday Concert by the Evergreen Chorale with the Denver Children’s Choir

Compositions by John Rutter, Shawn Kirchner, Daniel Elder, and Eriks Esenvalds as well as familiar seasonal favorites connected by the theme of light. The 75 members of the multi-generational Evergreen Chorale will be joined by the Summit Singers of the Denver Children's Choir for this concert.
