Two Evergreen High School singles tennis players and one doubles team are headed to the state tournament.

Jake Lewis at No. 1 singles, Joe Cuntz at No. 3 singles, and Zack Short and Shepherd Maren at No. 1 doubles will head to the 4A tournament Oct 14-16 in Pueblo.

Evergreen took third place overall, with George Washington placing first and Mullen placing second in the regional competition last weekend.

In addition, the following placed fourth: Curran Anderson and Trey Mays at No. 2 doubles, Charlie Barwell and Jacob Mays at No. 4 doubles, and Sam Billups at No. 2 singles. Grayson Anderson and Marlow Hampton lost in the first round at No. 3 doubles.
