Voters using the Democratic Party ballot this primary election have a choice to make about which candidate for Attorney General they would like to see on the general ballot this November.

The state's Attorney General is tasked with being the chief of staff and chief operating officer for the largest law firm in the State of Colorado, and to represent the state and its citizens in matters of law.

Joe Salazar — A civil-rights attorney and state representative from Thornton. 

Phil Weiser —  Former dean of the University of Colorado Law School and former deputy assistant attorney general for the U.S. Department of Justice.
