Westminster Mayor Anita Seitz attended the June 17 bill signing. While she was quick to say that the city council had kept a neutral position on the bill (3-3 vote), she said that speaking for herself, as chair of the Colorado Municipal League and a member of Colorado Communities for Climate Action, she was delighted.

"It's a much more sustainable vision for transportation," she said.

In terms of implementing the goals of the bill and making use of the additional revenue to improve transportation infastructure, she said "The city will look forward to working with CDOT."
